This is the line I like the most in this whole scene.
And while I’m sure Reid said it honestly when he said her looks doesn’t matter and afraid what he looks like to her (his anxious is understanding from his high school experience), thinking about psychology, subconsciously, he is afraid that meeting her would break his fantasy about her. About she is the most beautiful woman in the world to him. Not (only) the looks, but how she react and everything (what he thinks about her beautiful mind). Because talking on the phone is one thing. It’s safe. It can keep your fantasy safe. But meeting in person is reality (at least more reality than talking on the phone). But because it’s reality, true relationship grows and blossoms.
